This Ninja Creami protein shake recipe is an easy way to turn a simple bottle of protein shake into a smooth, creamy frozen dessert. It’s quick to prep, easy to customize, and works well for anyone who wants a high-protein treat that feels indulgent without much effort.

Ingredients
- 1 bottle protein shake, 11 to 14 oz, any flavor
- 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, optional, for re-spin
- 1 to 2 teaspoons sweetener, optional
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
- Pinch of salt, optional
Optional mix-ins:
- Chocolate chips
- Crushed cookies
- Chopped nuts
- Peanut butter pieces
- Caramel drizzle
- Crushed brownies
- Fruit pieces
Instructions
- Prepare the base.
Open the protein shake and pour it into the Ninja Creami pint container. If you want a richer flavor, stir in vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, or a little sweetener before freezing. - Stay under the fill line.
Make sure the liquid stays below the MAX FILL line in the pint. If your bottle contains more than the container allows, pour in only enough to stay within the limit. - Freeze until solid.
Place the lid on the pint and freeze it upright for at least 24 hours. For the best texture, set it on a level surface so it freezes evenly. - Spin in the Ninja Creami.
Remove the pint from the freezer, place it into the outer bowl assembly, attach the lid, and process it using the Lite Ice Cream or Ice Cream setting. - Check the texture.
After the first spin, the mixture may look dry, crumbly, or powdery. This is normal and usually means it needs a little more liquid. - Re-spin if needed.
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk, then run the Re-spin cycle. Repeat once more if needed until the texture becomes smooth and creamy. - Add mix-ins.
If you want extra flavor or texture, make a small hole in the center of the ice cream, add your mix-ins, and use the Mix-ins setting to combine them evenly. - Serve and enjoy.
Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or freeze for 30 to 60 minutes if you want a firmer scoop.
Recipe Tips
- Chocolate protein shakes work especially well with chocolate chips or crushed cookies.
- Vanilla protein shakes pair nicely with fruit, caramel, or peanut butter.
- For a thicker result, some people add a spoonful of pudding mix before freezing.
- A splash of milk during re-spin usually fixes a crumbly texture.
