Muscle Milk shakes were made for the gym, but they make killer ice cream too. This Ninja Creami recipe transforms ready-to-drink protein into a velvety frozen treat that satisfies both your sweet tooth and your macros — perfect for post-workout recovery or late-night cravings.

Ingredients
- 1 bottle Muscle Milk protein shake, any flavor
- 1/2 cup milk, dairy or dairy-free
- 1 tablespoon sweetener, optional
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
- Pinch of salt
Optional mix-ins:
- Chocolate chips
- Crushed cookies
- Fresh berries
- Peanut butter swirls
- Brownie pieces
- Chopped nuts
- Caramel drizzle
- Protein bar pieces
Instructions
Mix the base.
In a medium bowl or blender, combine the Muscle Milk shake, milk, sweetener if using, vanilla extract if using, and salt. Whisk or blend until completely smooth and well combined. Muscle Milk blends easily with no protein clumps.
Taste and adjust.
Taste before freezing — Muscle Milk shakes are already sweetened, but freezing dulls sweetness. Add sweetener only if you want extra richness. A pinch more salt helps flavors pop.
Pour into the pint.
Transfer to the Ninja Creami pint container, staying below the MAX FILL line. Leave room at top for mix-ins if desired.
Freeze completely.
Lid on tight, freeze upright for 24 hours minimum on level surface. Muscle Milk freezes solid and creamy.
Spin in the Ninja Creami.
Remove from freezer, process using Ice Cream setting for rich texture or Lite Ice Cream for lighter consistency.
Check the texture.
First spin may look crumbly (normal for protein shakes). Test center with spoon before adding liquid.
Re-spin if needed.
Add 1-2 tablespoons milk and run Re-spin. Repeat once if needed until perfectly smooth and scoopable.
Add mix-ins.
Create center well, add chocolate chips, peanut butter, or brownie pieces. Run Mix-ins cycle for even distribution.
Serve.
Enjoy immediately for soft serve texture, or freeze 30 minutes for scoopable consistency. Great protein dessert!
